- No login, no data collection, no telemetry, no ads. Everything's local and secure.Privacy policy
- Does Topkit save passwords?
- No. When an app marks a copy as concealed (the standard org.nspasteboard.ConcealedType used by 1Password, Bitwarden, and others), Topkit does not record it.
Transient and auto-generated pasteboard writes are ignored too. - Where does clipboard history live, and is it encrypted?
- Encrypted on disk with AES-GCM, the 256-bit key in your Keychain, tied to this Mac and never synced to iCloud.
Text sits in the app's preferences as one encrypted blob, images as encrypted files:

100 items by default, 10 to 500 in Preferences, with optional auto-clear. - Does Topkit sync clipboard history between Macs?
- No. Each Mac keeps its own list; Topkit doesn't sync or use iCloud.
If Universal Clipboard is on, Topkit saves the latest copy like any local copy. Only that copy transfers; your full history never does. - What does Topkit use when idle?
- About 150 MB of memory and close to no CPU: 29 seconds of CPU time in three and a half days on an M-series Mac.
At rest it only checks twice a second whether the clipboard changed. Capture and recording run only while you use them. - Are there any in-app purchases?
- No, and there will never be.

The App Store build and a build from source are separate apps to macOS. Each asks for permissions again and keeps its own clipboard history. Nothing is deleted, they just don't share.
